  • Voting is power unleashed,” The Poor Peoples Campaign is “building a movement to overcome systemic racism, poverty, ecological devastation and the war economy.” The M.O.R.E. campaign stands for Mobilizing, Organizing, Registering, and Educating people to vote. Its aim is to mobilize the millions of Americans “living without health insurance, without living wages, without clean water, and without voting protections.” Come hear about the movement to unite a new electorate to organize and vote for a moral agenda to transform our nation.
  • One of the biggest pro-peace candidates campaigns in decades. “2020 is shaping up to be one of the biggest Peace Voter campaigns Peace Action has waged in decades,” according to Peace Action Executive Director Jon Rainwater. As of April, Peace Action had “vetted and endorsed over 55 candidates” and the national organization has worked to elect pro-peace candidates across the nation. Come here about the results of National Peace Action’s work in the Nov. 2020 election.

** Immediately following the meeting, join Ecumenical Peace Institute for the EPI Fall Gathering featuring the program “The Forgotten Countries–Los Etceteras.” More details and updates will be posted on the EPI website.
